.“Paul Brooks’ show ‘Distance’ was a site-specific installation presented at Eagle Works Gallery in 2001.

Meticulously researched and contextualised,

the installation was based on units of measurement in which the idea of a milepost

was scaled to the dimensions of the gallery space to become ‘room posts’. These

created a timeline which through the

association of motifs and materials evoked

the history of use of the building in an

original, intriguing manner.”
